PRACTICAL GUIDE

Understand the result

How to use it

Enter tempo. A quarter note lasts 60,000 ÷ BPM milliseconds; dotted and triplet values follow from it.

Worked example

At 120 BPM: quarter 500 ms, eighth 250 ms, dotted eighth 375 ms and eighth-note triplet about 166.7 ms.

Assumptions and common mistakes

These are starting points. Adjust swing, feedback and pre-delay by listening.
